Retirements in the Practice
Dr Jim Repper and Dr Ruby Watt have now retired from Elmbank, with their last day being Thursday 4th August 2016. We wish them a happy and healthy retirement!
Any patients who have been regulars for Dr Repper and Dr Watt are welcome to call the practice to receive advice on which doctors best suit their needs for the future.
Elmbank will shortly begin using a text message system to notify patients of when appointments have been booked, and also to remind them of their appointments the day before. This is part of our ongoing process of providing the best possible service to patients.
If we do not have your current mobile number - or if you would like to opt out of text message reminders - simply contact us.
From our humble beginnings in 1896, when Dr John Innes began a surgery inside a chemist shop, today Elmbank is a 7 partner practice operating out of the Foresterhill Health Centre. Having maintained a system of clinical excellence, our proud tradition as a training practice also continues.
At any one time Elmbank is not just home to 7 GP partners and respective trainee registrars, but also a variety of other GPs, nurse practitioners, experienced practice nurses and a host of attached personnel such as health visitors, district nurses, midwives and counsellors.
The practice gained its name when the founding Dr Innes’ son, John Alexander, moved the practice to Elmbank Terrace; more than 90 years later, we are still emblazoned with that Elmbank Tree on our logo.
